The overarching aim of Aquatic Life Institute (ALI) is to improve the lives of aquatic animals by supporting, accelerating, and directing the growth of the aquatic animal welfare movement. To advance on this goal, ALI oversees affiliate coalition groups, including the Aquatic Animal Alliance; a global coalition of like-minded individuals representing 85 organizations from 60 countries.
Compensation and Duration:
The successful candidate will ideally commit to a minimum term of 1 year, which will be evaluated at the 6 month and 12 month marks, with possibility of extension
The successful candidate will be paid fair market value per “job” as agreed upon during the hiring process
The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director
Primary Work Function:
Support Aquatic Life Institute (ALI) in strategic communications and project launches by pitching to key media outlets. ALI is seeking a freelance journalist/public relations specialist who can develop compelling news pieces to pitch to major news outlets, based on ALI’s newest projects and publications. This is a freelance position, though we are looking to establish a long-lasting relationship with the right candidate with whom we can continue working on future projects.
