Freelance Political Reporter

Catena is an American company with a portfolio of websites in the US and Canada focused on legal online sports betting and legal gambling. We are currently seeking a freelance political reporter to join our team! The ideal candidate has experience writing about politics and state legislative affairs that impact the gambling/casino industry. Coverage includes online gaming, mobile betting, and brick & mortar casinos.
About the Role:
Job would be long-term, part-time, about 4-7 articles per week, about 500-750 words each based on state legislative schedules.
The writer would be responsible for tracking state legislative developments in one or more states and reporting news as it happens. This includes potentially listening to live hearings and review proposed and final legislation.
The position is entirely remote, with no need for office visits or travel.
