Job Summary
The Senior Copywriter (SRCW) is responsible for the conceptual development of creative for a wide variety of B2B and B2C clients and media, as well as the occasional management of junior level copywriting staff. Beyond this, the SRCW possesses the ability to not only concept critically, strategically, and visually, but must know how to present and defend that work both internally and externally. The SRCW so much more than the writer or architect of words, they are an imaginative and inventive force of storytelling. Together with their Sr. Art Director counterpart, the SRCW will fine-tune their storytelling craft and contribute to ideation sessions with other members of the agency.

General Responsibilities
· Demonstrates the mission, vision, values and culture principles of BC Worldwide
· Delivers on deadline
· Comply with all corporate and departmental standard operating procedures as well as FDA and other governmental regulations (e.g., IRB, EC).
· Ensure all activities and operations are performed in compliance with regulatory and federal regulations.
· Responsible for maintaining up to date weekly time tracking, per the Agency’s time tracking policy.
Creative Responsibilities
· Contributes to the conceptual & artistic look and feel for a variety of integrated assignments, either through their own work or the management of copywriters.
· Collaborates closely with the Creative Director, Associate Creative Director and Senior Art Director to ideate and concept creative.
· The SRCW is expected to lead the conceptual thinking from a copy standpoint.
· Contributes to the creative vision of the brand’s personality & tone across all channels.
Client Responsibilities
· Provides strong POV on all integrated work to all creative leaders and clients when necessary.
Team Responsibilities
· Continues to evolve in their progressive creative thinking, going beyond purely. executional objectives and contributes broader creative ideas and brings them to their ACD or CD managers.
· Maintains knowledge and dissemination of ongoing exploration of what is the cutting edge in design, copy and concepting in the industry.
Financial Responsibilities
· Ensures high quality, on-budget execution of creative deliverables within a given deadline.
Leaderships Responsibilities
· Must be able to travel occasionally overnight and on weekends.
· Managers are responsible for ensuring that your direct reports maintain up to date weekly time tracking, per the Agency’s time tracking policy.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred
5+ years of copywriting and proofing experience in agency environment required
Additional Experience: Excellent proofing skills a must and CPG client & shopper marketing or healthcare experience a plus
