As a Senior Science Writer/Editor, you will research and compile data used in preparing a broad range of complex scientific publications. The type of documents you may research and write to may include scientific reports, policy conference reports, newsletters, blogs, abstracts, research publications, scholarly monographs, annotated bibliographies, state-of-the-science reports, white papers, fact sheets, multimedia materials, speeches, media advisories, scripts, training materials, proposals, public relations materials including press releases, and other scientific information. Experience in writing about a variety of scientific topics, as well as translating complex information into plain language, is preferable in this role. You will be working with detailed specifications provided by supervisors and other technical staff, but this role has limited supervision. Additionally, you are expected to demonstrate good judgment, initiative, and attention to detail in performing and completing assigned tasks on schedule all while creatively solving daily issues as they may arise.
