Role overview
The Financial Times is seeking a content strategy manager, APAC, based in Hong Kong. This is an exciting opportunity to help build the FT’s branded content and thought leadership offerings
You will work closely with the sales, production, project management and marketing teams to carry out various projects, from ideation through to completion, including but not limited to articles, digital interactives, videos and podcasts.
This position requires a creative and emphatic strategist who is adept at translating client’s goals into engaging content, whilst at the same time ensuring that the output adheres to the FT’s standards.
Key responsibilities
Take ownership of content campaigns in APAC, from taking briefs, ideation and pitch stages, through to delivery
Act as content lead on campaigns, confidently discussing content ideas, and developing professional relationships with clients
Work with key internal stakeholders and external parties (e.g. specialist writers) to deliver well-rounded pitches and campaigns
Write pitch synopses and edit copies
Ensure the content supports the client’s brand goals while upholding the values of the Financial Times
Build relationships with key client stakeholders
Work with the APAC and global creative strategists and commercial producers o identify areas for growth within the partner content space
Qualifications and skills
Experienced in working at a publisher or a content agency
Knowledge of the banking and finance landscape in Asia and globally; knowledge of other industries such as technology, energy and luxury a plus
Well-versed in financial topics including wealth management, fixed income, alternative investments and cryptocurrency
Adept at translating complex or abstracts concepts into engaging content for readers
Proficient writing and editing skills
Content background; journalism experience is preferred
Able work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail, and comfortable working to tight targets and deadlines
Fluency in spoken and written English a must; knowledge of an Asian language such as Chinese or Japanese is a huge plus
