Role Overview

Performs editorial support role such as creating charts and graphs

What will you be responsible for?

Creates charts and graphs
Responds to requests by other FT editorial offices
Creates audio transcripts with a high level (at least 70%) of accuracy
Adds pictures, multimedia and links to articles
Sub-edits articles as assigned
Helps update media platforms
If tasked with comment moderation, helps ensure that reader discussions follow FT community standards
Helps to improve the team spirit and internal work relationships
Performs other functions as instructed by the team leader and/or manager​

What skills do you need to be successful in this role?

Excellent oral and written English grammar
Proficiency in Adobe creative suites (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects)
Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and working with statistical data is an advantage
Works with minimum supervision, has sound news sense and is able to make crucial editorial judgment calls
Keen eye for detail, ability to spot errors
Adaptability to new work processes
Can work fast yet maintain a high quality of work under tight deadlines
Team player with good communication skills
Willing to work the night shift schedule, including weekends and holidays on a hybrid work arrangement (2x on-site and 3x work from home)
