GamesHorizon is on the hunt for a passionate Guides Editor to join our dynamic team. You'll play a crucial role in shaping the editorial direction of GamesHorizon, ensuring we deliver high-quality content that resonates with our audience.

What you’ll do:

Implement predefined content strategies to meet GamesHorizon’s goals and audience interests.
Source and assign topics to writers, setting deadlines to fulfil quantitative targets.
Edit and fact-check all written content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines.
Perform regular quality checks and implement strategies to improve content quality.
Collaborate with writers on new ideas, provide feedback, and guide them through the editorial process.
Maintain clear and effective communication with writers, designers, and other team members.

The idea candidate has:

Strong editing skills and the ability to turn a first draft into the best article on the topic.
Minimum 3 years of experience in content editing and writing, preferably within the video game industry or a related field.
Experience with SEO best practices for both long and short-form content.
Strong understanding of video games, current gaming trends, and the gamer community.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in WordPress or similar CMS and basic editing software (e.g., Google Docs, Canva, etc.).
Passion for video games and a genuine desire to create engaging content for gamers.
