General Assignment Reporter

Due to a retirement, The Wilmington (Ohio) News Journal -- part of national company AIM Media with papers in several states, including many in Ohio -- has an opening for a general assignment reporter. Beat will include reporting and writing stories on deadline for a 5-day newspaper and website/social media, from business and human-interest stories to local governments, schools, crime and courts, etc., plus photography (camera furnished). Must have some writing experience and knowledge of reporting. Includes day shift plus some evening work (such as meetings and events) and occasional weekend assignments totaling about 37.5 hours per week. Mileage reimbursement plus full benefits including health, dental and vision plus 401(k) with company match.
