Genesis10 is currently seeking an Associate Editor with our client in their New York, NY location. This is a 12-month hybrid remote contract position.

Our client is looking for an Associate Editor to support the growth of our data-driven reporting for our U.S.-based members.
In this role, the editor will work with internal stakeholders across data science, research, and comms to plan data-backed coverage related to economic and workplace trends.
The candidate should feel comfortable analyzing data to spot trends and helping our members understand that data through their reporting.
Responsibilities:
Report, write and edit weekly coverage of data-driven topics that impact professionals at various levels.
Build distribution tactics by having an understanding of content distribution, including writing concise and engaging copy for social and notifications.
Work with internal data science, research, and comms teams to spot trends and plan content calendar.
Understanding benchmark success metrics to evaluate project performance.
Develop relationships with data experts and members who can add their voice to our coverage.
Identify emerging opportunities and experiment with new ways to share and tell stories that fit our client's professional audience.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in a news or media environment (either full-time, contract, or freelance).
1+ years of experience in an editorial role (reporting and writing).
Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
