RealSport101.com is a leading site that focuses on sports video games and is looking to hire a passionate and knowledgeable Madden & NBA 2K player, specialising in Ultimate Team and MyTEAM modes.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong interest in US sports gaming, especially the live service game modes such as Ultimate Team and MyTEAM. You will have the ability to turn the latest news and updates into well-written content that clearly and concisely explains what is happening to an audience of new & experienced players.

You should have a good knowledge of, but not limited to, the following games:

Madden

NBA 2K

MLB The Show

NHL

The role is a freelance contract for full-time hours where you will be working alongside the Sports Group Manager and wider editorial team to grow traffic and brand awareness within the US sports game space. You will be expected to create content yourself and delegate to an in-house team as well as commissioning work to external authors.

The role comes with the following required hours: 3pm UK/10am ET to 11pm UK/6pm ET Monday to Friday. Candidates from around the world are encouraged to apply, but these hours are crucial.

Role overview:

Work with the senior editorial team to develop RealSport’s US sports gaming content strategy

Lead in-house and external writers in the execution of RealSport’s US sports gaming content strategy

Generate original stories within the genre

Write SEO-led news & guides content daily

Grow traffic around a core section of games

Help across every section of the website’s content arm where needed

As our US Sports Gaming Editor you are:

Motivated to grow something from the ground up

Highly knowledgeable in the world of live service sports gaming

Knowledgable of SEO

Able to prioritise tasks and delegate where needed

Highly organised and able to use team management tools such as ClickUp

Excellent in your written and verbal communication

Able to work fast and efficiently - reacting quickly to changes and breaking developments.

Pay Range: £22k - £25k DOE (freelance contract)
