Grant Writer

WhyMaker is looking for an experienced Grant/Proposal Writer to research, write, and submit RFPs in the education sector. This is a part-time, freelance position that will work closely with different departments to collect documentation, develop compelling answers to the questions asked in the RFP, and coordinate the responses from our internal team. The role requires someone with excellent writing skills, who proactive and highly organized with great attention to detail in following instructions and process.

The successful candidate will research potential RFP's to respond to, develop effective responses, collaborate with other contributors, review and edit responses from other contributors, ensure proposals are accurate, compliant and competitive, coordinate and organize all documents, format the final submission document following internal and RFP guidelines, and submit the response by the deadline. The Proposal Writer will have the ability to manage the entire proposal process from discovery to submission, including scheduling and attending meetings as needed and tracking RFP progress in the database.

This role is completely remote with varying hours depending on the number of proposals being submitted.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in the Education Sector is an asset
Degree in english, journalism, communications, education, business or related field is preferred

SALARY RANGE
This is a freelance position with varying hours depending on the RFPs available.
Salary range is $19-$27 per hour, also open to a flat fee per proposal structure.
