Common Threads (CT) is seeking Grant Writing support for our Development team. This position is responsible for writing/compiling grants, proposals, and reports as assigned by CT Development Staff. CT currently submits over 150 grant applications on an annual basis, as well as grant reports and concept papers. The Grant Writer may also contribute to creating, refining, or revising other communications and written materials required for the development team to effectively secure dollars for the organization and provide stewardship with foundation partners. The Grant Writer reports to the Director of Development and works closely with CT’s Development Manager
Responsibilities:
Works with Development Team to meet annual fundraising goal
Supports CT Development Team in all grant writing initiatives
Majority of support will entail proposal writing
Contributes to Foundation Relations database
Responsible for the accurate and timely entry of foundation information, including contacts, deadlines for all application materials and reports, and key recognition and outreach activities
May contribute to creating, refining, and/or formatting other communications and written materials for the development team
May engage with Program Managers or other Common Threads team members as needed for grants to obtain all necessary details and materials
Provides editing, formatting, or composition support to other staff as needed

Qualifications:
Bachelor's preferred
Excellent writing and editing skills, and proven ability to construct clear written arguments
Previous grant writing experience required
Familiarity with both foundational and government grant writing, process, and compliance requirements
Ability to work within a mission-driven environment to develop professional and respectful relationships with people both internal and external to Common Threads
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to manage projects with minimal supervision
Ability to quickly form relationships and build trust among coworkers
Strong attention to detail and analytic thinking
Be self-motivated, confident and have outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong organizational, time management and logical thinking skills

This is a full-time position that will primarily work Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm, but some nights and/or weekends may be required
