Job Summary/Description:

WNEM, a Gray Television TV station, is recruiting for a Investigative Reporter/MMJ. The WNEM Reporter/MMJ researches news material for television newscasts and all WNEM news platforms and initiatives. This includes writing and posting daily on all digital platforms and social media. The successful individual will furnish a wide variety of news content either working alone or in tandem with other field personnel.

Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:

Writes, reports, presents live from studio and in the field, shoots edits
video news stories from concept to finish; contributes copy stories to
newscasts and digital platforms. Performs live reports on daily basis.
Generates story ideas, cultivates news sources and remains
knowledgeable regarding places, events and people in the news, local and
national. Contributes to our minute-by-minute digital news efforts on all platforms
with web content, social media posts and live digital reports.

Qualifications/Requirements:

▪️ Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience. At least one year experience in broadcast journalism. Experience reporting (MMJ) news at a commercial television station preferred.
