The main purpose of this role is to drive brand relevance and consideration through the UK PR and influencer strategy. The role reports into the UK Marketing Director.

The role
The successful candidate will be responsible for heading up the PR & Influencer activities for Pandora UK. Reporting into the Marketing Director, the Head of PR is responsible for developing and executing the UK PR & influencer strategy and leading a team of 4. As a senior position within the business, this role has budget responsibilities and requires significant experience in public relations – both consumer and corporate.
Day to day responsibilities include leading fashion, consumer and corporate press, the UK influencer and celebrity programme and strategic partnerships.

Role
What to expect from the role
Strategy : Develop and execute the UK press and influencer strategy in line with the Global Earned Media strategy and BRIS 3-year plan.
Budget: Responsible for managing the UK PR & Influencer budget and ensuring spending drives business objectives.
Team Management : Manage a team of 4, with 2 direct reports.
Fashion & Consumer Press : Oversee all fashion and consumer press activities, maintaining Pandora’s position as a leading jewellery brand and retailer. Support with pitching stories to key titles, and nurturing relationships with senior editors and publishers.
Fashion Media Partnerships: Work alongside Head of Paid Media to ensure Pandora has presence in top tier consumer titles and is being supported editorially in return.
Influencers & Celebrities: Oversee Pandora’s 3-tier talent programme, ensuring that we continue to improve reach, engagement and overall performance across key social platforms.
Corporate Communications: Work closely with Global Corporate Comms team to develop and execute a UK corporate comms strategy. Work with PR & Partnerships Manager to build Pandora’s reputation in key trade and business titles.
Brand Partnerships: Responsible for end-to-end management of charity and strategic brand partnerships. Responsible for selecting and contacting key partners, in addition to project managing campaigns with the support of the PR & Partnerships Manager.
Events: Responsible for end-to-end management of all UK press & influencer events, including press days, dinners and overseas trips.
Cross-Functional Working: Work closely with UK Marketing, Global PR, Social and Corporate Comms teams to ensure UK plans are aligned with the wider UK and Global strategy.
The successful candidate
Education : minimum 3 A-levels (A-C). Fluent English speaker. Ideally education to degree level or equivalent.
Fashion Press Experience: minimum 8 years’ experience working in fashion PR. Must be able to demonstrate an existing network with fashion press and up-to-date knowledge of media landscape.
Corporate Comms Experience: must have relevant experience dealing with corporate and trade press. The candidate should feel comfortable guiding executive leaders in corporate comms matters, in addition to providing quick and informed responses to press queries.
Influencer & Celebrities: must have relevant experience in working with VIPs and talent. The candidate should demonstrate a good understanding of talent recruitment, management and evaluation.
Team Management: experience in people management is essential.
Strategy & Reporting: the candidate should feel comfortable in analysing data and be able to make tactical decisions based on these insights.
Partner Relations: experience of working with agencies and commercial and charity partners
