Position Summary: Oversee, develop and manage all PR activities for all three LEGOLAND Resorts in North America on behalf of Merlin Entertainments. Ensure PR targets for regional (and national when applicable) coverage are set and achieved in close alignment with Merlin Entertainments strategy. Direct reporting line into PR Director of Merlin Entertainments with dotted line to Vice President of Marketing for LEGOLAND Resorts. Continuously evaluate PR efficiency to maximize impact.
Compensation for this role starts at $100,000 based on skills and experience.
Scope and Responsibilities :
Develop annual strategy across LEGOLAND Resorts North America for national media coverage
Develop and ensure delivery of PR targets for both drive markets and national opportunities
Seek alignment and transparency among key stake holders – Directors of Marketing as well as Senior PR Managers for all 3 LEGOLAND Resorts
Ensure coordination with LEGO North America on annual PR plans and national pitches
Conduct post-mortem analysis of PR programs and present conclusions for future plans
Identify key performance indicators within PR channels, and provide regular updates/reports
Maintain awareness of competitor programs and keep US MANCOM abreast of current trends and issues, making recommendations as needed
Develop and maintain relationships with key media networks
Qualifications/Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree required. Majors in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or other related field preferred
Experience in a theme park, hotel, resort, attraction or travel destination helpful but not mandatory
Minimum of 8 years of management experience, with personnel leadership
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Public Relations
Solid expertise in front of camera, live and recorded
Track record of exceeding PR targets and objectives
Demonstrated ability to manage a large volume of work effectively and efficiently
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional peers
Ability to set and manage against objectives and schedules, and effectively plan and manage resources
