The Daily Editor works with key stakeholders to develop a content and scheduling strategy that supports the brand’s growth plan across all platforms. They input into the strategy, implement its day-to-day execution, and manage, with the support of the Senior Writer and relevant Editors, the creation and workflow of content for digital channels: app, website, social media and newsletters.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting into the Editor, you will help develop an integrated multi-platform editorial content strategy that fits with the overarching brand goals and hits digital targets. You will understand and be fully immersed in the Country Living ethos in order to lead the creation, curation and execution of content across app, website, social and newsletters.

Working closely with our internal specialists (SEO, Social, Homes and Video), to create best in class content that focuses on the target audience segments, fits the brand strategy and delivers against all KPIs including monetisation.
Supportidea creation sessions around advertising and commercial partnerships.
Drive a brand membership strategy with digital content, insights, data and learnings in collaboration with the EiC, Memberships Director, Group Creative Director and Editor.
Drive the Country Living digital content licensing strategy across all digital platforms, and support in all aspects of its growth and development in collaboration with the EiC, Commercial Content Director, Group Creative Director and Style & Interiors Editor/Licensing.
Drive the Country Living Marketplace digital content marketing strategy across all digital platforms and support in all aspects of its growth and development in collaboration with the EiC, Commercial Content Director, Group Creative Director and Style & Interiors Editor/Marketplaces.
Support Events strategy with timely digital content across all relevant platforms in collaboration with the EiC, Commercial Content Director, Group Creative Director and Brand Diversification team.
Develop and implement a successful, on-brand e-commerce strategy that increases revenue and brand diversification opportunities.
Ensure factual accuracy and legal safety of all copy, as well as ensuring our tone remains consistent and the core brand principles are present.
Expand your knowledge of social networks and platforms and the benefits of launching and thriving on each site and how this positively supports the brand goals. Keep on top of all digital product updates and changes to best practice from SEO to social, communicating changes to the Brand Team where relevant.
Positively take on any ad hoc requests by the Brand Team in the interest of brand development and companywide business opportunities.
As a team leader, you are expected to proactively support the Brand Team in creating a winning culture within the team that reflects the Hearst values.

About You

A proven track record of running a digital brand and managing a team. The ability to multi-task, remaining calm and professional under pressure.
A strong eye for data and content strategy, comfortable using Google Analytics and other insight tools to inform content and set targets.
A solid knowledge of both SEO and e-commerce, and how to build a strong search strategy that results in both traffic growth and revenue with the best possible UX.
An eye for numbers, comfortable managing budgets, tracking spend and understanding revenue breakdowns.
A thorough understanding of social platforms ranging from Facebook and Instagram, to Snapchat and YouTube, and how to use them to grow brand
