Role Description

As a Real Estate Reporter for Homes.com (a subsidiary of CoStar Group), you'll be a member of our dynamic real estate news team, writing informative content for home buyers and reporting on market trends. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate and business journalism, excellent writing skills, and a passion for delivering insightful, informative, data led content tailored to home buyers and home sellers.

To succeed in this role, you must possess strong writing skills, be passionate about real estate, have a knack for storytelling, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Teamwork is a critical piece of our culture and a key to our success, so a collaborative and adaptable attitude is a must.

This position is located in Richmond, VA and offers the following hybrid schedule option:

4 days onsite / 1 day remote

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive content that aligns with the interests and needs of home buyers and sellers.
Creation, editing, and timely publication of high-quality blog articles on a regular basis.
Conduct interviews, research, and scriptwriting to craft compelling blog articles addressing relevant real estate subjects.
Establish a credible and trustworthy reputation as an authority within the real estate industry through insightful commentary and analysis.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, English, Marketing, Communications or Journalism from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A track record of commitment to prior employers.
2+ years of professional writing experience

Preferred Qualifications

A master of words who knows how to expertly craft a story
Ability to successfully multi-task and track assignments through multiple stages of production
A highly collaborative team player who is not afraid to speak up or ask questions
