Role Description: As Senior Real Estate Reporter for Homes.com (a subsidiary of CoStar Group), you'll lead our dynamic blog writing team and spearhead the creation of an engaging podcast. This role offers the unique opportunity to use your on-camera experience and excellent communication skills to become the future brand influencer across social media and traditional media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate journalism, excellent writing skills, and a passion for delivering insightful, informative, data led content tailored to home buyers and home sellers. As the Senior Real Estate Reporter, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand's voice, establishing thought leadership, and expanding our touchpoints across the media landscape.

This position is located in Richmond, VA and offers the following hybrid schedule option:
4 days onsite / 1 day remote
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive blog and content strategy that aligns with the interests and needs of home buyers and sellers.
Set editorial standards, ensure consistent quality, and uphold Homes.com brand vision throughout all content.
Oversee the creation, editing, and timely publication of high-quality blog articles on a regular basis.
Conduct interviews, research, and scriptwriting to craft compelling blog articles addressing relevant real estate subjects.
Establish a credible and trustworthy reputation as an authority within the real estate industry through insightful commentary and analysis.
Manage and mentor a small team of writers on their research, reporting and writing.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, English, Marketing, Communications or Journalism from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A track record of commitment to prior employers.
7-10 years of professional writing experience
Preferred Qualifications
A master of words who knows how to expertly craft a story
Ability to successfully multi-task and track assignments through multiple stages of production
A highly collaborative team player who is not afraid to speak up or ask questions
2 years of professional experience as a people manager
