Honeywell is seeking a Vice President of External Communications and Public Affairs to design and drive a comprehensive media relations program in support of company’s business objectives and the overall corporate narrative. The role reports to the Global Vice President of Corporate Communications and is based in our Charlotte, NC headquarters. This role works across all corporate functions and business units and has strong partnerships with the government relations and investor relations teams. This individual will manage a team of 12 directs and five matrixed employees and the global PR agency relationship and budget to meet media relations objectives and KPIs in top-tier business and B2B outlets globally, including broadcast. The ideal candidate will be an experienced communications and public relations leader, who has worked in a B2B and matrix environment. Global industrial and high-tech experience is highly preferred. We are seeking a candidate who can serve as a trusted advisor for senior executives in mission-critical moments: a purpose-driven storyteller who has strong judgement, a calm demeanor to manage multiple concurrent high-profile projects. The candidate should have experience handling earnings for a publicly traded company, reputation and crisis management, as well as serving as a public affairs advisor for a multinational company.
