Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Journalist, at The Garden Island, located in Lihue, HI (on the island of Kauai). The Journalist will be responsible for conducting research, writing, and news writing for print and digital publications. The Journalist will also be responsible for producing videos and producing press releases.

Qualifications

Excellent research and writing skills
News writing experience
Experience with broadcasting and press release production
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Good understanding of the principles of journalism and journalistic ethics
Experience in digital media is a plus
