Full Time Limited Term General Assignment Reporter, Web

KQED is seeking an experienced general assignment reporter to cover the day’s news for our news site. We’re looking for someone who can write quickly and accurately about local stories, breaking news for the web, take on topics that are currently not featured on KQED's radio broadcasts, develop and gather elements for longer, more in-depth digital stories, and provide our reading audiences with a greater understanding of the Bay Area. We are particularly interested in reporters who are experienced centering people from marginalized communities in their stories. This web reporter will be a part of our digital news operation. They are expected to file same-day stories, apply digital best practices and have proficiency in relevant digital audience tools, such as social media, analytics, etc. This will be a Full Time 6 month Limited Term Position.
