Automotive Writer

IB Publishing is seeking writers with a strong automotive background to cover automotive news & trends for our growing audience of enthusiast for a variety of different domestic and international forum-supported sites included Audi World, Corvette Forums, Dodge Forums, LS1tech, Ford Truck Enthusiasts, Jaguar Forums, JK Forums, Rennlist, S2Ki, and more.

Writers must be able to both pitch and accept assignments, and must have a working knowledge of auto enthusiast subject matter and terminology. Writers must be able to adhere to strict deadlines, feel comfortable writing with authority and expression, utilize photo-editing software, and both respect a larger editorial vision and offer up their own perspective.

This is a freelance, telecommuting position. Assignments, writing, editing, and submissions are all handled through our online system. All you need is a computer, internet access, and the ability to deliver clean, concise copy on automotive news topics.

Requirements include:

Ability to write in a professional, authoritative tone while still injecting the appropriate level of personality.
Experience with automotive trends and terminology.
Strong research and fact checking skills.
A passionate enthusiasm for automobiles, and the ability to connect to the automotive audience.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Familiarity with photo resizing/editing.
