What We Need:
iHeartMedia has an opening for a seasoned anchor/reporter on multiple stations (including KFYI) in multiple markets throughout the country. Employee will also perform in-house reporting duties, produce content for national wire service and perform general newsroom assignments Candidates should have high standards for audio quality, strong on-air presentation skills and the ability to write radio broadcast style copy.
What You'll Do:
Responsibilities:
Anchor newscasts for multiple markets.
Write clear, concise news copy.
Produce, edit and write content for 24/7 Newswire.
Gather audio from press conferences, live events and partner TV stations.
Produce short-form reports (voicers/wraps) for anchors on the following shift.
May be called on to anchor breaking news reports as needed.
Qualifications:
Extensive "on-air" background - this is not a position for beginners.
Proficient in media production and broadcast systems
Ability to plan and organize, set priorities and multi task in a fast-paced environment
Work Experience
3+ years’ experience in on-air journalism in smaller market or college station
Education
4-year college degree, preferably in Broadcast Journalism or Communications
