About the role
Radio Times is seeking a Sports Writer to produce captivating and insightful digital content about sports, helping to expand our Sport section and solidify its reputation as the home of live sport on TV. This role is perfect for a sports enthusiast with a talent for storytelling and a desire to connect with a broad audience.

As a Sport writer you will:
Cover the latest sports news, updates, and events, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
Conduct interviews with athletes, presenters, coaches, and other key figures in the sports world.
Attend events for first-hand reporting and behind-the-scenes insights.
Collaborate with the SEO team to optimize articles for visibility and audience reach.
Engage with the Radio Times audience via social media and other platforms to build a loyal readership.
Assist in creating multimedia content like podcasts, videos, or live streams related to sports coverage.
Requirements
Expertise in sports: Comprehensive knowledge of various sports and an ability to stay updated on the latest trends.
Strong writing and editing skills: Produce clear, engaging content that appeals to fans of all experience levels.
SEO proficiency: Knowledge of how to optimize content for digital success.
Multimedia capability: Experience in video and audio storytelling is a plus, including on-camera presenting.
Organisational excellence: Ability to manage deadlines and deliver consistently high-quality work
