Newsletter Writer and Editor

Inside Higher Ed, the leading source for news, commentary and analysis about higher education, seeks a resourceful and curious journalist to share a solution-focused and fresh take on the key news, events and trends shaping higher education each day. We are looking for someone who thrives working independently and with colleagues. This role requires excellent news judgment and a passion for engaging and growing our audience of newsletter readers. You will write and curate a daily newsletter designed for a higher education-focused audience -- college and university administrators, trustees, state and university system officials, association executives and others. You will be responsible for providing analysis, engaging with your audience, utilizing multiple platforms and using analytics tools and data reports to drive the newsletter’s editorial plan and performance. The workday for this position may sometimes include weekends and/or non-traditional hours.
