Assistant Managing Editor

Insider is hiring an assistant managing editor to help us grow and run our distribution team. The managing editors are responsible for hiring our editorial staff, overseeing our fellowship program, and ensuring that Insider is an inclusive and diverse newsroom. We value open communication, teamwork, and creative problem solving. The distribution team manages the publication of Insider stories across social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Snapchat and more. The team uses data-driven strategies and dynamic social storytelling to optimize our stories for audiences across platforms. The AME will recruit and hire the best editors, producers, and fellows to join our distribution team. The AME will lead recruitment efforts, guide potential job candidates through the hiring process, and work closely with our editors to figure out their team needs. As we expand our newsroom to go deeper on the things that make Insider great, the AME will help us find the right people to add to the team.
