Business News Intern

Insider Inc. launched a global news bureau in Singapore in January 2021. We’re a team that thrives on taking on challenges and jumping on the biggest news of the day. We’re hiring a paid editorial intern to write about business news for 6 months. This person will report to our Asia business editor, and they must be based in Singapore. Interns on our business news team write about major companies, business personalities, consumer trends, exciting innovations, scandals, and more. Companies they may write about include American giants (Amazon, Walmart, Facebook, Tesla, Apple, Google, etc) as well as the companies that dominate in Asia (Alibaba, Tencent, Toyota, Samsung, etc). In this role, you’ll be expected to pitch news stories and take assignments from your editor. Interns usually write daily news stories in the 300-500 word range and have time to work on longer reporting as well. You can expect to support the bureau’s senior reporters with research as well as produce articles under your own byline.
