Fellow, Voices of Color (JANUARY 2023)

Insider is hiring a fellow for our Voices of Color team. The Voices of Color fellow will write high impact digital content for Insider’s vertical on race around the world, including both in-depth enterprise and quick hits, and a focus on original reporting and storytelling. The desk focuses on original, compelling written coverage of race, bias, and communities of color. Your work will highlight the experiences of Black, Latinx, Native American, Asian American and all races, and cover topics including politics, criminal justice, the economy, entrepreneurship, health, the environment, arts and culture, entertainment and other issues with an emphasis on solutions, motivation and leadership. You should be an ideas machine who is adept at conceiving of unique angles on big national stories as well as finding underreported gems on the beat. He or she will be a star at shaping pitch ideas, ensure that story content is clear and has context, and work collaboratively with the News team and VOC video team. You should have knowledge of current events and an inquiring mind on issues around ethnicity, race, bias and inclusion for a global audience.
