Health + Parenting Editor

Insider is hiring a UK-based health and parenting editor to add new voices to our coverage. The editor will work with health and parenting freelancers to assign and edit articles and first-person essays for Insider. They will find and publish book excerpts and original articles from authors. The editor will also collaborate with other editors to source ideas and build on breaking news stories. The ideal candidate is brimming with ideas on how to cover a wide array of health and parenting topics. They are sharp, quick-thinking, and comfortable juggling multiple stories on a short turnaround. They'll be excited about publishing stories like "Alicia Silverstone was criticized for sharing a bed with her 11-year-old son. A pediatrician and a child psychologist say co-sleeping is OK until a child reaches prepuberty," "I was an oncology nurse and thought I knew everything about cancer treatment. When I became a patient, I realized how wrong I was," and "I thought I was failing as a mom until I learned my 2 kids have ADHD. I changed my parenting to fit their needs."
