Photo Fellow (Winter 2023)

Insider Inc. is looking for a Photo Fellow to work under the photo team to produce and edit original images for our newsroom, help source and direct freelance photographers around the world, and ensure quality photo selections across our stories. This fellow will report to the Senior Photo Editor. The Photo Fellow will tackle a wide range of daily assignments and responsibilities, including assisting and editing support for large-scale projects, working both in-house at our NYC studio and in the field, and contributing to our long-term stock image projects. We also expect this fellow to pitch and execute photo-based stories of their own throughout the fellowship. This fellow will also assist the Senior Photo Editor in finding and coordinating with photographers, placing imagery on our site, and fulfilling in-house image requests from the newsroom. They will also regularly help reporters find great images for their stories both through our wires and licensing. As a Photo Fellow, you’ll gain valuable experience collaborating with journalists and other creatives to brainstorm, create, and edit photo visuals across all of our verticals.
