Reporter, Editorial Partnerships

Insider Inc. is hiring a generalist reporter for Insider’s editorial partnerships team. The editorial partnerships team is responsible for writing compelling stories that appeal to the audiences of our partners, which include MSN, Yahoo, and Apple News, while maintaining Insider’s voice, style, and commitment to fair and inclusive storytelling. The reporter will be a versatile writer who thrives in an environment where creativity, diversity of ideas, and trying new things is encouraged. They will create and help edit general-interest slideshows, visual features, and posts across topics covered by Insider (including food, travel, celebrities, entertainment, health, retail, real estate, and more) while carving out their own niche within the team. They will keep an eye on what’s trending to pitch and write timely stories. They will also be expected to pitch new experiences they can write about, such as eating like their favorite celebrity or putting a new food craze to the test. This is primarily a writing role, but this reporter will also be responsible for editing and liaising with freelancers approximately 20% of the time. The editorial partnerships reporter will bring excellent communication skills, and they will regularly brainstorm new ideas in a collaborative environment. They will assist with editing as needed, offering clear, constructive feedback to reporters and liaising with other editors in the newsroom.
