Social Graphics Fellow (JAN 2023)

Insider is hiring a paid social media fellow to produce graphic and visual storytelling for various social networks and platforms. This ideal fellow will create graphics, animations, videos, and more to bring the reporting we do on our site directly to our social followers in an engaging and accessible fashion. This fellow should have excellent news judgment as they will be expected to work swiftly and accurately to publish urgent news stories, as well as identify evergreen stories. They will work closely with both the distribution and design team. Projects would range from basic Photoshop and Illustrator requests like cutting out images, resizing, cropping, and retouching photos to creating unique, intriguing, and conceptual artwork for social media. Social media fellows should be comfortable working with teams across the company. They should expect to work in a fast-paced environment and be capable of juggling multiple tasks and deadlines at once. Our fellows should have the ability to pivot from one task to the next without missing a beat. They should be self-sufficient and capable of making the correct judgment calls based on what they’ve been trained on.
