This role requires you to work for 40 hours a week.

Our social media accounts are the face of our brands, and our audience fellows play an integral role by helping to run our growing network.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage posting schedules across social channels
Help the audience team reach its goals on platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, Snapchat, TikTok, and LinkedIn
Distributing new videos and stories on social channels as they are published, as well as recirculating dozens of evergreen archive pieces per day
Pitching stories to our syndication partners including Apple News, Flipboard, Digg, and Yahoo
Organizing and maintaining our archives
Analyze data and tracking statistics, and work collaboratively to develop our social strategies
Work with content from all verticals on both websites and the video team
Working with teams across the company in a fast-paced environment
Juggling multiple tasks and deadlines at once and pivoting from one task to the next without missing a beat
Making the correct judgment calls based on what they’ve been trained on

Additionally, candidates for the audience fellowship should have:

Work experience with one or more social media platforms
Experience working with breaking news
Experience working with editorial and journalism
Some familiarity with distribution of social video
Experience with content management systems
Experience with Photoshop
Interest in data collection and analysis

Salary

Fellows are paid £24,000 pro-rata
Fellows get 10 days annual leave during the 6-month period
This position starts in Jan 2024 and requires that you work full-time for six months.

Insider is a flexible workplace when it comes to remote work, but an important part of the fellowship is being a part of the newsroom in person for learning opportunities. Fellows are asked to come into our offices in London at least two days a week.
