UK Hedge Fund Reporter
Insider is hiring a UK-based reporter to join our finance team to deepen and expand our hedge fund coverage.

The senior reporter would be joining our fast-growing finance team, which is a must-read for subscribers working on Wall Street. We do this through interviews with high-profile executives; breaking news on big initiatives, workplace dynamics, fund performance, shake-ups in investment strategies, and more; as well as analysis that ties it all together.
The Role & Team:
As a hedge fund reporter, you will have an insatiable appetite for getting inside influential institutions that are often shrouded in secrecy, and have demonstrable experience doing so. You’ll have proven experience sourcing and mapping out power players within the hedge fund industry while delivering comprehensive coverage and competitive scoops.
We are a highly collaborative team, and there will be plenty of opportunities to develop as a reporter and work on high-impact projects across the newsroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Keep on top of all the biggest hedge fund happenings and people to know
Collaborate with the finance team editors and reporters to identify the key themes to cover
Proactively pitch memorable features and analyses of the industry and biggest global managers
Land and report out exclusive scoops and interviews
Deliver clean, accurate, and engaging copy
The Ideal Candidate Has:
A track record of developing and maintaining relationships with a wide range of sources
A demonstrated history of breaking exclusive news on the hedge fund industry
A well-developed contact book of investor sources
Experience building a beat and finding a niche to deliver high-impact stories
Strong attention to detail, capable of delivering top-notch, precise copy, and managing deadlines
A knack for explaining complex or technical topics in a fun, conversational way
Strong numeracy and comfort with financial and business topics
A comfort with reading and taking cues from audience data to drive coverage
