Insider is hiring a paid editorial fellow to assist in production of videos for the web series World Wide Waste, Still Standing, Big Business, and a number of other formats. This fellowship is set to begin in June 2022. Fellows in this role will spend their time doing meaningful work editing and potentially producing news related videos. They will have the opportunity to create videos like How Used Chopsticks Are Turned Into Tables, Tiles, And Other Furniture, How Vegan Leather Is Made From Mangoes, and Where Everyone Moved During The Pandemic. The Insider video team is a highly-collaborative, fast-paced group of storytellers. Our goal is to take our viewers inside the institutions that shape the world we live in. We meet the people who keep the world running, unveil the inner-workings of major companies, and hustle to get the behind-the-scenes access and insider information no one else has. The Insider Fellowship Program is for early career journalists who want to spend six months learning from a newsroom full of passionate, dedicated journalists. Fellows are assigned to teams and become experts in digital storytelling. They produce real work that is distributed to our audience of millions, and leave ready for the next phase of their journalism careers.
