Visual Features/Business Reporter - Airlines

Insider is hiring a visual features/business reporter to tell captivating visual stories about aviation and the airline industry. This is a full-time position based in our New York office with the option to work remotely. A day in this role could consist of anything from visiting a nearby airport to taking photos of a private jet to interviewing airline executives and experts on new announcements and developments. This role is ideal for someone who loves travel, as the reporter will be encouraged to pitch and take trips across the US and the world and write reviews of their experiences. The visual features/business reporter would pitch, photograph, and write all their own stories. They would be equally adept at sourcing photos from online outlets and going out to shoot their own. Professional experience with taking photos is not required, but you must be willing to learn. Knowledge of and passion for the aviation industry is a must for this role. The ideal candidate will be obsessed with airlines, planes, and travel and be excited to share that passion with readers. Success in this role will be measured by aligning what you and the readers are interested in.
