Infopro Digital group are recruiting for a Senior Reporter on a permanent basis to join our Insurance Post brand out of our London offices.
Insurance Post, the award-winning publication for the general insurance market, is seeking a senior reporter.
We’re looking for a tenacious, energetic journalist with experience either at a local newspaper/website or writing for a business-to business trade title.
You will be responsible for breaking exclusive news, securing interviews with movers and shakers in the industry and delivering insightful features and data analysis on emerging trends and developments in the general insurance market.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, knowledge, and experience:
Experience in local or business journalism
Proven writing, research and editing ability
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Key Responsibilities
Writing exclusive news stories as well as in-depth analysis
Curate and send email news alert
Stay on top of developments in the general insurance industry and be able to explain complex subjects clearly and comprehensively
Develop original and compelling ideas plus creative ways to present content – which could include charts, infographics, video, polls, podcasts, etc
Engage professionally with key industry players both in-person plus via social and use this interaction for content generation
Work collaboratively with colleagues
Requirements
Excellent, accurate writing across a range of formats
Experience of writing and developing stories
An ability to find new ways to cover topics or issues
Knowledge of relevant data sources, developments, and key contacts
Enthusiasm, energy, and ability to be part of our award-winning team
An ability to show initiative and work well under pressure
Additional Skills
A network of general insurance contacts would be preferred
Knowledge and experience of using SEO to drive new readership
