The team

We drive comms strategies that support our critical priorities right across our business - growing UK and Global Production, Transforming Broadcast (Media and Entertainment), and expanding Direct to Consumer. While delivering on our Social Purpose strategy, and accelerating change in diversity and inclusion too.

Outside of Group Comms, our Public Affairs team engages with Government, Parliamentarians, advisers and other industry stakeholders. Our Internal Communications team brings our More than TV strategy to life for our colleagues in the UK and internationally. And our Social Purpose team works across the business to bring to life our strategy of shaping culture for good, across our four focus areas of better health, diversity and communication, the environment, and giving back to our communities.

The role

We have a new opportunity to join our creative Internal Communications department on a 12 month fixed-term contract. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who wants to step up. There’s never a dull day in the internal comms team, with lots of room for creativity, you will make a daily impact on the business. This role has been designed so you will learn from everyone in the team and grow your own skills in channel management, technical channel support and creative asset design and copywriting. We want someone who’s hungry and keen to help us push things on and on. With lots to do and lots of autonomy, this busy opportunity is brilliant for someone wanting to expand their communication, digital asset production and event management skills.

We’re looking for someone willing to speak up, step up, have new ideas and make things happen.

Responsible for:

Producing graphics for campaigns and channels, including various infographics for the team (includes ratings infographics)
Creating and editing internal videos and animations in vimeo and iMovie for campaigns (training can be provided)
myITV page updates for the team and stakeholders
Newsletter creation in DotDigital
Event management: event bookings, catering, entertainment, talent and/or calendar invites, on-the-day support greeting guests and monitoring attendees, gathering feedback
myITV live streaming support for events e.g Insight Out, Insiders Guide, Leadership Briefings, reward events
Responsible for drafting and publishing ITV and ITV Studios Awards round-ups
Coordinating ITV’s ticket allocation to live shows to ensure an even spread between Commercial partners, production contacts and colleagues.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

Experience at team assistant level in an internal comms role and looking for a step up
Demonstrable experience of working independently and keen to start to lead projects
Demonstrable experience of working internally with stakeholders
Previous experience of web publishing and/or email building/marketing

The ability to build good and effective working relationships
Able to work to tight deadlines and stay calm under pressure
Possess creative flair, tonnes of ideas and excellent attention to detail
Great organisational and planning skills
Experience with video production and editing would be beneficial, but training can be provided
Desire to learn about emerging technologies
