About The Opportunity

The Communication lead will be working for a joint venture organisation that we/Jacobs are one of the parent companies of which manages our contract delivery into the UK MOD. Providing SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel) into the client organisations, covering Project Management, Project Controls and Operational Delivery.

Effective communication is essential to the JV success. This includes developing communications for both internal and external consumption eg

Preparation of comms to MOD.
Preparation of comms on behalf of MOD to the wider customer base.
JV staff comms eg newsletters, town halls, videos etc.
Supply chain partner comms/briefings.
Social Value initiatives and community benefit/outreach event comms.
Wider external comms.
Collateral development.
Event management.

Specifics aspects of the role include

Take on the permanent Comms Lead role from the PDP-S Transition Comms Lead following a successful handover.
Develop the overarching Communications Strategy and, where required, communication plans for specific activities and manage their effective implementation.
Communicate processes and ways of working in an accessible manner to a wide client and supplier audience.
Play a leading part in organising supply chain conferences and team away days.
Use expertise, experience, and industry best practice to help CDT leaders understand stakeholders, identify the right channels, styles and activities for specific audiences.
Maintain excellent contacts and relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Hold colleagues to account on their communications responsibilities to drive the communications requirements.
Act as a trusted advisor to the CDT SLT to ensure effective communication is at the heart of their work.
Other areas commensurate with working within the CDT environment.
