Corporate Communications and Media Relations Manager

The Corporate Communications function supports the overall business focusing on media relations, PR agency management, change & crisis communications as well as employee communications. The team is global and operates as a start-up company within a large organization, always looking at new ways to implement innovative communication channels and educating colleagues how to effectively use them.

You will have primary responsibility for supporting corporate communications, investment communications and assisting in the development and support of Janus Henderson’s broader strategic communications narrative and in the execution of firm’s PR strategy in the US across institutional and intermediary channels. The role also involves continuing to develop and enhance Janus Henderson’s media relations activity, profiling capabilities across all asset classes, assisting with the execution of investment communications and incorporating broader corporate and brand positioning as appropriate. In addition, this role will have responsibility for curating and posting content for JHI’s social media channels, and working with our brand ambassadors to ensure a robust social media presence across company and employee channels. Reporting to the Director of Corporation Communications and Public Relations, the role will involve a high level of coordination with the wider global press team on campaigns and issues management. You should be an experienced financial PR professional, with a strong understanding of asset management and the relevant financial publications. The ideal candidate would also bring existing relationships with financial journalists and commentators. You should also have experience executing social media campaigns, and developing and posting corporate social media content.
