Kramer Media — a family-owned business that operates pinalcentral.com — is looking for passionate journalists to fill a multimedia, general assignment reporter based in the rapidly growing city of Maricopa. We are regularly recognized as one of the top news organizations in the state, and we are excited about new, innovative ventures that are being taken throughout the company, and want to bring in people equally excited about what is possible when journalists are in touch with their community. Applicants should be comfortable in a fast-paced, multimedia news environment where they will be able to pursue a variety of subjects that are important to the readers they serve, while honing all the skills necessary to be a journalist in the modern age. We are open to all levels of experience, with a commitment to helping everyone grow in their profession. The reporter will cover many areas of the Maricopa community, including but not limited to government, schools, business and human interest stories. Chosen applicants must be living in or willing to relocate to Arizona, though working from home is allowed when it’s not necessary to be out in the field or in the office. Starting pay is negotiable, and employees are offered full health, dental and vision benefits as well as paid time off and a 401(k) plan.
