Journalist / Editor

TMPC Creative Media is looking for a journalist/editor to join our editorial team.

Based in Nundah, Brisbane, TMPC is an award-winning publisher of B2B and industry magazines. We cover industries such as baking, retail food stores, energy generation and distribution, building and development, local government, electrical and even thoroughbred racing. (Don’t worry, we don’t expect you to have knowledge in these industries—just a desire to learn!)

We are looking for a talented journalist/editor with at least two years of full-time work experience to join our editorial team in our Nundah office. The ideal candidate will be a highly organised individual who can write a great yarn and edit precisely and efficiently.

The journalist/editor role will see you interviewing talent; writing news stories, feature articles and advertorial for both print and web; editing and proofreading; compiling digital content such as newsletters and social media posts; organising photography; and liaising with clients and stakeholders.

While not essential, experience in social media and digital content will be considered highly desirable, as well as experience in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign), Wordpress and MailChimp.

Be a permanent Australian resident
Have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or Communications
Have at least two years’ experience in a similar role
Possess excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
Be highly organised and efficient.
