More about where you’ll be working:
Launched by the director and MD of global networked agencies, this full service B2B marketing agency based in Kent is moving into scale and growth phase, and applies the strategic rigour of a big, networked agency with the creativity and agility of an independent.
You’ll get the global B2B clients (from automotive and construction to engineering, healthcare and technology) and strategic, exciting work, coupled with a fluid, non-hierarchical and relaxed culture.
This is not an agency that has a high-stress environment; everyone knuckles down to produce work to the highest standard, but no-one is anxiously working around the clock. It’s a friendly, supportive, grown-up, professional and opportunity rich culture.
What will your role involve:
The agency’s roots lie in PR and communications, so all client work has a strong PR and media focus. You’ll devise and run the media programmes for clients as well as setting the media relations strategy and shaping the narrative.
There’s huge scope for professional and personal development and career ambition as the agency moves into growth phase; this isn’t a ‘sit at media manager’ type of role; the founder is looking for someone who will grow into the next head of media and eventually lead a team.
Collaborating with the team to create digital, print and video
Writing everything from press releases to opinion pieces, award entries to case studies and beyond with a focus on editorial value.
Day to day campaign management, managing deadlines, seeking media opportunities and angles for clients.
A bit about you:
You're a journalist or have a journalism background and want to move into a communications role.
You’ll have a strong sense of responsibility and care when it comes to clients, colleagues, and the agency.
You have a thirst for press coverage, you’re all over the media and you understand how to talk to other journalists (and influencers) to get the right coverage in all the right places.
An empathetic, level-headed self-starter, and confident communicator.
Your experience would (ideally but not exclusively) sit across maybe the business pages, trade (especially construction, science, engineering, technology, automotive) or nationals.
You understand what it means to give good client service and have a rigorous and thoughtful attitude to client work.
Ambitious, a leader and full of ideas; someone who wants to grow this role and put your own stamp on it
Able to take what might be considered a dry brand, product or topic and find an interesting story.
