Although predominantly required for the municipal affairs beat, we are seeking a well-rounded team player, ideally interested in a variety of general assignment beats, including police and justice, social issues, the environment, community events and human interest stories.
The successful applicant is expected to produce daily content for both print and digital editions.
Qualifications
Experience with The Canadian Press style guide and work in a Mac environment is a must; experience with social media platforms is an asset.
Candidates must have the ability to multi-task while working under tight deadlines. A laptop computer is beneficial but not essential. Journalism degree and experience are necessary.
Applicants must have their own transportation.
