Join a dynamic, in-house creative team developing marketing communications for an aspirational, modern design brand. We’re looking for a Junior Copywriter who has a way with words, an interest in current trends and is passionate about creating content that informs and engages consumers. Our ideal candidate is a team-spirited, skilled and imaginative writer with an eye for detail and exceptional communication skills.
Reporting to the Senior Copywriter, the Junior Copywriter will help manage the voice and tone of the Pella brand while developing work that is consistent with brand guidelines for all business segments, products and distribution channels.
You’ll work collaboratively with the creative and product teams, media/advertising agency partners, distribution channel partners, Pella’s marketing department personnel and outside suppliers to develop original concepts that result in effective and compelling communication.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Work with the Senior Copywriter to bring the Pella brand to life in a clear and consistent manner in accordance with brand guidelines.
Work specifically on transitioning our PDSN Branch articles and copy content to pella.com. Write and edit articles for regional branch partners.
Develop content across multiple mediums (printed collateral, social media, digital banners, web content, etc.) and tailor language styles for various segments and audiences.
Manage timelines and projects with an internal project management tool to meet appropriate deadlines.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand objectives, create content, and obtain approvals.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Creative: Bring the Pella brand personality to life in a clear and consistent manner. Understand how to tailor language styles to various target markets.
Detail oriented: Familiarity with editing standards and commonly used style guides. Ability to write clear, concise and grammatically correct copy. Self-motivated and well organized.
Communication/Project Management Skills: Manage timelines and projects to meet appropriate deadlines. Work with stakeholders to understand objectives and obtain approvals. Assists in the development and implementation of processes to improve content and creative development of all materials and incorporate metrics to track results as needed. Uses internal project management tools to track projects.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA /BS) from four-year college or university; 1-3 years of marketing copywriting experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Excellent understanding of editing standards and commonly used style guides. Ability to write clear, concise, and grammatically correct copy. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Computer Skills
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Basic knowledge of industry graphics programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and InDesign desired but not required. Knowledge of Workfront project management software is a plus.
