As we continue to expand our team, we are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Medical Editor to join us in making a meaningful impact in the clinical trial space.
As a Junior Medical Editor at Langland, you will work closely with our Copywriters to produce meticulously crafted clinical trial communications for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. This includes a wide range of materials in both traditional media (leaflets, presentations, flyers, letters, posters) and digital channels (websites, apps, video games).
Responsibilities:
Editorial Excellence: Support the copy team in producing top-quality content, showcasing an enviable grasp of the English language, a confident editorial viewpoint, excellent scientific knowledge, and unwavering attention to detail.
Proofreading and Editing: Review and suggest edits to master UK/US English materials, ensuring accuracy against clinical trial protocols and maintaining consistency across all materials.
Protocol Updates: Monitor new versions of protocols released by clients, identifying necessary updates, and offering suggestions for amendments to existing materials.
Terminology Management: Create terminology sheets for each set of materials to enhance consistency and optimize workflow.
Client Requirements: Stay informed about any specific client requirements regarding language choices or preferences.
Compliance: Utilise knowledge of the ABPI code of conduct to ensure all materials adhere to acceptable standards.
Content Creation: Develop basic materials for healthcare professionals, aligning closely with protocol content.
Qualifications
Educational Background: Hold an undergraduate degree (or higher) in a science-related field or demonstrate excellent comprehension of scientific material.
Experience: Bring significant proofreading and editing experience, ideally gained in industries such as healthcare journalism, medical education, or scientific editing.
