KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings (NASDAQ: BKNG), is the world’s leading travel search engine. With billions of queries across our platforms, we help people find their perfect flight, stay, rental car, cruise, or vacation package. We’re also transforming the in-travel experience with our app and new accommodation software. For more information, visit www.KAYAK.com.
As an employee of KAYAK, you will be part of a global network that includes OpenTable and KAYAK's portfolio of metasearch brands including Swoodoo, checkfelix, momondo, Cheapflights, Mundi and HotelsCombined. Many employees are dedicated to one brand, but we all have the benefit of using each others strengths and insights. Together, we're able to help people experience the world through dining and travel.
What you’re in for:
As a member of the KAYAK North America Creative Team, you are responsible for how the brand comes to life for millions of travelers that use our site - and enticing those that don’t. As Copywriter, you are the voice of the brand, embodying our tongue-in-cheek style and conversational tone to help people experience the world through travel. You support all our creative activities - as well as some of our product ones.
This is a full-time position reporting to our Senior Creative Director, based out of our Stamford office (or not).
What we’re looking for:
You’re highly motivated, passionate about travel, curious and collaborative. You can work with autonomy but love a good group project. You are obsessed with words and can balance business objectives with creative insight. You are immaculate in your copy reviews, but know when to break the rules.
You may have worked at an advertising or creative agency before this, an in-house content design team or maybe you spent the last few years writing for a niche improv comedy team. Whatever made you a writer, you know the power and impact words can have and wield them effectively. Oh… and you don’t mind doing away with the Oxford comma.
In this role, you will:
