Senior Copywriter

KeyBank is looking to add a senior copywriter to the team who will put our brand voice into action in clear, compelling ways while leaving no detail behind.

About the Job:

This role is responsible for writing financial content primarily across digital channels – email, SMS, and landing pages. Projects will also include writing complex messages to clients about the servicing and maintenance of their accounts. Our ideal candidate has experience in the banking industry with a solid grasp of personal finance and how banks work.

The writer we hire will provide brand and subject matter expertise and work collaboratively with marketing managers, project coordinators, and designers to meet all deadlines. This individual will also have a passion for assuring clients at every touchpoint that they made the right choice in choosing and staying with Key.

Required Qualifications:

Degree in marketing, journalism, communications, public relations, advertising, or equivalent
4+ years’ experience writing for the financial/banking industry is preferred
Portfolio that exemplifies a broad range of expertise across digital, social, and advertising content
Basic understanding of web design and content hierarchy is preferred
Experienced using technologies, including Word, Adobe Acrobat, Zoom, and web-based work and project management systems

Compensation And Benefits

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000 to $95,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
