Content Writer

Kforce has a client in Redmond, WA that is looking for a remote Content Writer for a short-term project. Summary: The main function of this Content Writer is to write a single story based on research, interviews, and shared materials. The writer will be responsible for organizing, editing, and maintaining records and files. Job Responsibilities:

Content Writer will organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology
Maintain records and files of work and revisions
As a Content Writer, you will confer with client to establish specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a creative field such as English or Journalism
1-4 years of experience in politics/policy space
1-4 years of research & interviewing experience
1-4 years of journalistic writing experience/fact checking experience
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
Writing samples- 500-700 words -required

Local to Washington
Deep understanding of politics and policy writing
Journalistic writing samples

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
