We are looking for a motivated and high-performing storyteller to join our Digital News Team in Corporate Affairs at KPMG – a mix of former TV and newspaper journalists, who have worked in leading newsrooms around the world, and communication gurus, who have represented some of Australia’s biggest brands.

You will be dedicated to connecting the firm’s new strategic agenda and priorities with our people via our daily internal news bulletin. From economics and client case studies to profiling our people, you will produce engaging articles and compelling video stories in a journalistic style that ultimately speaks to the 10,000 employees at KPMG Australia.

Key objectives:

Pitch and write stories for our daily news bulletin.
Liaise with senior stakeholders and use your news sense to draw out interesting stories from the business.
Collaborate with the wider firmwide communications team, ensuring to strategically cover divisional news.
Collaborate with the external communications team and marketing team to ensure external and internal storytelling is timely and aligned.

Key skills requirements and qualifications:

Senior multimedia journalist (reporter or producer) in a newsroom.
Strong writing skills for online and video.
Desktop video editing experience preferred but not essential.
Experience in covering business, finance, and/or people stories.
Knack for finding strong story angles and building ‘clickable’ content.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholder expectations in a complex organisation.
Strategic thinker with problem solving skills.
Related tertiary qualification in journalism or communications.
